LOGAN-VIEW SCHOOL PROJECT PICTURE GALLERY

The Logan View School purchased a boa from the Boastore, and the whole school pitched in to build the cage,(the shop boys) and the arts department painted the background. The snake is loved by many students. Below are pics of the cage and the snake they purchased, as well as letters from the students. This project was led by Science teacher Jeremy Bohaboj. He has educated many children on the importance of snakes in our environment and as part of our lives. Lots of his students handle the snakes regularly, and this year they added an anerytheristic(snake lacking red pigment) to the project, donated by the Boastore. This allowed the students to study genetics of snakes and learn how genetics might impact breeding projects. Many thanks to Jeremy and his students for helping educate the world.

Dear Sharon,
Thank you for the snakes.  They are very pretty.  Having them in the classroom has helped me get closer to being over my fear.  I have held one snake in class.
Thank you,
Gaby

Thanks for the boas.  The boas have helped me know that snakes are not always deadly.  I think it's cool when they eat the mice.  I'm glad we have a snake because lots of other schools don't.  Thanks you for the snake.
Sincerely,
Derek

Thank you for the Boa Constrictors.  I really enjoy having them in class.  I have learned a lot about them, such as how to hold them properly.
Thank you,
Sydney

Thank you for the snakes.  I have found a compassion for them and I might get my own snake.  I hope you have fun because it is awesome with our pet snakes.
Thanks,
William

This snake is awesome.  I like the colors of it.  Everyone else thinks it is cool too.  Thanks for the snake.

Thank you for the boa constrictors.  I have learned a lot about them because I now have them in the classroom.  Snakes are very cool.  They are wicked sweet.  I have learned how to take care of them.  I also used Charly for our science night presentation.
Jessi

Thank you for the wonderful snake.  I feel it will teach us so much in the years we are around to see it.  It looks so cool and we love to look at it and hold it.  The future should be fun.  Thank you again for giving our school an awesome opportunity of an amazing animal.
Jessica

Thank you for donating the boa to our school.  My experiences with the snakes have made a big difference in my life.  I am not as scared of the snakes as I used to be as long as they are tame ones.
Victoria

Thank you for the snake.  It has helped me to get over my fear of snakes and to be more open to trying new things.  I have learned a lot about boas, how they live and that not all snakes are mean.  Again thank you.
